Graphic Airlinesは、香港を拠点とするアートデュオ、TatとViによるユニットで、2002年から精力的に活動を続けている。

奇抜な世界観「Fattyverse」と、愛すべき象徴的なキャラクター「Ar Fei」（特徴的な丸みを帯びたラインと魅力的な「醜さの美学」を持つ）で知られる私たちは、ストリートアート、グラフィックデザイン、アートトイ、マルチメディアプロジェクトなど、様々な分野で独自のスタイルを展開してきました。私たちの作品は、Nike、Adidas、agnès b.をはじめとするグローバルブランドとのコラボレーションで実現し、展覧会は香港からパリ、ニューヨーク、ベルリンなど世界各地で開催されています。

2002 Take Off

Tat, a newspaper graphic designer by day, started a website after hours to showcase his work. He met Vi—fresh grad from CityU Creative Media—and together they launched Graphic Airlines.
From that chance connection, the duo took flight, exploring endless creative skies.

2006 TRASH TALK - First project

G.A.'s first novel, published by Graphic Airlines & Kubrick, was the inception of "Trash Talk" in 2002. This novel gathers early sketches, clay figures, and dolls created over the course of four years.

The narrative of "Trash Talk" unfolds in a world overwhelmed by waste. Its inhabitants survive by scavenging from the debris that rains down from the sky. Their existence hinges on consuming whatever scraps they can salvage from the heaps of trash that surround them.

2006 ST/ART - Street art collective

The group exhibition "450/Sq.FT." @ idN was a significant milestone for Graphic Airlines. It was an honor for them to be part of the street art collective "ST/ART", which opened their eyes to the vibrant Hong Kong street art scene. This experience propelled Graphic Airlines into the heart of the Hong Kong street art community, marking a pivotal moment in their artistic journey.

2008 The Giants - Babu Gallery / Shenzhen

In the HK/TaL-kING HK street art collective exhibition, Graphic Airlines (G.A.) took an innovative approach by handcrafting two giant dolls and placing them in highly populated areas such as Causeway Bay and Central in Hong Kong. This interactive installation aimed to foster connections among people and observe the diverse reactions across different areas of the city.

2009 Hello Paris - Land PARIS solo Exhibition / Galerie Myriam

"Hello Paris Land PARIS" marked Graphic Airlines' first solo exhibition overseas, hosted at Galerie Myriam. It was an incredible journey into the heart of Europe, where they immersed themselves in the city's rich artistic heritage and culture. This experience provided invaluable learning opportunities, shaping their artistic vision and leaving a lasting impression on their creative journey.

2009 Flesh Mesh - Solo Exhibition / Gallery de Vie

"Flesh Mesh 2009" was Graphic Airlines' solo exhibition at Gallery de Vie, featuring their exclusive "Flesh Mesh" statue collection. Among the collection were the iconic figures "Madame Vee" and "Meaty," limited to only 50 sets. These statues, produced and manufactured by G999, showcased the unique artistic vision and craftsmanship of Graphic Airlines.

2010 deTour - Design festival / Victoria Prison

At deTour 2010 in Hong Kong's Victoria Prison, Graphic Airlines (G.A.) presented an installation inspired by Japanese 枯山水 (kare-sansui), following a design exchange organized by "Ambassador of Design" with Japan. The heritage building provided a unique backdrop for their creation, offering visitors a juxtaposition of contemporary design within historical surroundings. This contemporary interpretation of 枯山水 aimed to evoke a sense of tranquility and contemplation, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the harmony of nature and design.

2011 Madboy - MAD HOUSE Contemporary Art Gallery / HK

In 2011, Graphic Airlines hosted "Madboy" at MAD HOUSE Contemporary Art Gallery in Hong Kong, marking the launch exhibition of their figure series "Alter Boy" #3 - Mad Boy. This collaboration with MAD HOUSE, a contemporary art gallery, was a significant milestone for Graphic Airlines. The event was a memorable night, showcasing their innovative figure design and celebrating the intersection of street art and contemporary art in a dynamic gallery setting.

2012 Sport b - Floating Youth

In 2012, Graphic Airlines collaborated with Sport b for the "Post 90's - Floating Youth" exhibition. Post 90's represents a generation brimming with infinite possibilities, one that defies confinement or definition. In this artwork, they amalgamated the distinctive traits of this generation to craft a space teeming with vibrant colors. Within this space, creatures reminiscent of amoebas or microorganisms dwell, symbolizing the exploration of a microscopic world or a universe abundant with potential. The exhibition invited viewers to embark on a journey alongside Dinosaur from Sport b and Ar Fei, illustrating how each individual, despite their seemingly small presence in the vast universe, harbors their own universe filled with boundless power, awaiting exploration and discovery.

2012 HONG KONG inVISIBLE /Schoeni Art Gallery / Contemporary Art Exhibition

In 2012, Graphic Airlines participated in the "HONG KONG inVISIBLE Contemporary Art Exhibition" presented by Schoeni Art Gallery in Hong Kong. Curated by Eric Leung Shiu Kee, the exhibition featured a diverse group of artists including Man Fung Yi, Kum Chi Keung, Kevin Fung Lik Yan, Sim Chan, South Ho Siu Nam, Mok Yat San, Jaffa Lam Laam, Lam Tung Pang, Hung Keung, Eunice Cheung Wai Man, Tsang Chui Mei, Gary Mok Wai Hong, William Tsang Chi Wai, and Li Chi Tak. This exhibition aimed to showcase the vibrant contemporary art scene in Hong Kong, highlighting the works of both established and emerging artists.

2012 Primary - Solo exhibition / Above Second gallery

In 2012, Graphic Airlines hosted a solo exhibition titled "Primary" at the Above Second gallery. The exhibition was designed to evoke the innocence and purity associated with primary school students. Through their artworks, Graphic Airlines aimed to capture the essence of simplicity and untainted creativity, encouraging viewers to reconnect with the childlike wonder and imagination within themselves.

2017 I Got Next - NIKE

In 2017, NIKE hosted the "I Got Next" project, focusing on high school basketball. It was a highly challenging endeavor for us. We organized several drawing workshops and handcrafted 6 sets of resin art toys, each set featuring 5 "Ar Fei" basketball players in different colors. A total of 30 resin sculptures were exhibited in NIKE stores and the most renowned toy shop in town, "Superman Toys". To embody the spirit of "I Got Next", it's time to shine when you step onto the basketball court, to be brave and fearless.

2017 Meet The King - NIKE LeBron James asian tour

In 2017, during LeBron James's Asian tour with NIKE, Graphic Airlines (G.A.) collaborated with another talented artist, "papersneaker," to create a 1:1 soldier figure using multiple pairs of LeBron James's signature basketball shoes, the "Lebron Soldier 11." This collaborative artwork was crafted to celebrate the visit of the legendary basketball player LeBron James to Hong Kong as part of his Asian tour.That's so glad for Tat, because he is a basketball lover.

2019 K11 Musea

At K11 Musea in 2019, Graphic Airlines' artworks drew inspiration from old-school sailor tattoos, serving as the main idea for the ceiling and floor designs on the 3rd floor of the mall. These artworks resembled tattoo motifs spread across the ceiling and floor, creating a distinctive visual effect and ambiance. This concept complemented the works of other artists such as American artist Ron English and local creative groups like Parent’s Parents, Simple Bao, Katol @ Start From Zero, enriching the street art theme of K11 Musea.
